How black and white do you (any who reads this blog...if anyone still does...) think the bible is?
I was considering this the other day and it just almost seems to make sense. Becuase I think we make it grey because we don't want to accept what the bible says all the time. We try and find a deeper meaning to we only pick out certain words to listen to and that changes the meaning. The grayness of the bible would only show that God wants us to figure it all out on our own, but Jesus was usually willing to explain things to the disciples in common language and stories. I think we need to look at the bible more literal than most people take it as...

...Free Will?
Ok, here is one issue that everyone must touch on once or twice in their life. Do we have free will? If God knows all, then He knows the next choice we are going to make. So then we don't have free will eh?
It just so happens that I think I have found the answer already, but I want your feedback on this - God knows our choices already, but that doesn't mean we know what they are. We still have to choose. Just because he knows what were going to choose and do, we don't know what were going to do till we do it. This I think may be true free will!

Did I Hit a Soft Spot...?
Ok, so it seems no one wants to talk about demons? Are we scared? If we talk about demons, does that make them real? Are we scared to make demons real? Do we just want to imagine God vs. Satan? No! Well, I don't. I like the thought that there are angels and demons, both vying for our souls. I don't believe Satan is omipresent (in all places at once) and so who does his work? Demons.
Just because we are God's children doesn't mean that we are safe from evil...

Demons All Over...
I've been reading the book 'The Screwtape Letters' by C.S. Lewis and I've been wondering about demons. Do they fight like in Frank Peretti's book, 'This Present Darkness', or do they wander around attached to people trying to get us to do wrong? We can't see them of course, but maybe we need to wonder where they hang out. I mean if you want to convert someone to a certain belief don't hang around where you know people already believe that, go out to where you can change people who don't believe the same as you. Wouldn't the same be true for demons? Why wouldn't they hang out in a Tim Hortons so that people who go in after Church won't talk about what the pastor preached about?
Distraction seems to be one of their best tactics and so wouldn't it be likly that they are in the common places where Christians hang out...?

Miracles...
What is a miracle? I believe the definition is an event orchestrated by God to bring people into the light of Him. But what is a miracle? Does it have to something grand like: walking on water?
Or something that happens daily like: child birth? Are they both respectivly a miracle...and following that are some miracles better or more important than others?
Food for thought...

Waiting...Waiting...Waiting...
Can you believe that we wait for God? We (of course I do) say things like "Oh we're waiting for God." For God to what? To do something big and huge? To cure AIDS and save the Burmese people from enslavement and torture? Maybe his plan isn't big, but is just a simple plan. To change a person's attitude. And here's a thought. Lets say we're waiting for God to show us his plan. Lets look at this from an example: The plan is a map. God is holding the map. We're following him (or trying to). Why do we need to look at the map? Why do we need to know the plan? We're following God, so why do we need to know? God is the ultimate map reader and planner. He knows where we're going, so why don't people just follow?
Why do we feel the need to see the map?

Don't Lies Just Turn You... Off??
Isn't it annoying when some lies and its really, I mean really, obvious that they lied? The other day a person I lied to me and I got so tired of the 'story' that I told the person that I don't believe him. Well that didn't help he just keep going making the 'story' more and more outrageous! So I said again I don't believe that could happen. And so he persisted to try and tell me more. WHY?!?!?! I don't believe him and I know hes lying and he just won't admit it...why? Attention? Does he just have the habit of lying? Does he actually think that's how his little adventure happened?
Just plain weird...

Smash, Trash and... Sin?
I have a very general Question...Is it sinful to want to break things? I mean some days (most days) when I walk past a big window I want to take a brick and just smash the window!! I've never actually done it before; however the urge has always been there. I just want to see it happen and watch the glass crumble down in slow motion (like the movies). OK I know it won't be in slow motion but man it would still be fun!
Life After Death...For Whom?
I’ve often wondered whether children, when they die before accepting Christ, go to Heaven anyways. I mean won’t Jesus take pity on those little children and take them to Heaven? I used to like to think so, until I read a scripture in Genesis 8. God is promising Noah that He will never flood the earth again. The bible says:
21 The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though [a] every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. (genesis 8:21)
Read the part about ‘every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood.’ So does that mean that people are evil and have to be taught to be good? So does that mean that God would send young children to hell because they’re evil? Its hard to say…
